About IDS

Interdisciplinary Studies integrates courses from departments and professional schools across campus to build three in-depth and cohesive thematic programs of study grounded in the social, behavioral, and economic sciences. For students interested in a Secondary Education program, the Center for Integrative Studies also offers a curriculum that can be combined with teacher education and certification through the College of Education.

Students selecting the Interdisciplinary Studies major will choose one of three (3) concentrations in which to specialize their studies. Effective Fall 2017, concentration options for Interdisciplinary Studies students include:

  • Sociology
