About IDS

Interdisciplinary Studies integrates courses from departments and professional schools across campus to build in-depth, cohesive, thematic programs of study (concentrations), which are grounded in the social, behavioral, and economic sciences. The interdisciplinary major may also be combined with a teacher certification program.  Effective Fall 2017, areas of study for new students include:

Students also select a cognate for depth of knowledge in their choice of one of the following disciplines: Anthropology, Economics, Geography, History, Pollitical Science, Psychology or Sociology.
